Contract Extension For Elder

Having only started playing first team football this year for the bees, Elder has already shown that he is a valuable member of the squad and with a new contract being signed today has shown his commitment as well.

Since his debut in February Elder has scored 8 goals in 29 starts, most recently in the demolition of Morecombe, two weeks ago.

Bees boss Andy Scott has signaled that he sees a bright future for Elder and says that is 'he continues to improve and works on the things that he needs to, then he can be a valuable player to us over the next couple of years.'

Unfortunately Elder's first game since signing the contract will not be this weekend against Rochdale after picking up a slight injury in the loss against Chester as well as serving a one match suspension.
