Triallists and Tribulations

Brentford's 5-0 win over Hampton last night has given Uwe Rosler a lot to think about.

The Brentford XI featured a number of triallists who impressed on their first outing in a Brentford shirt.

Top of Uwe's thoughts is probably Brighton left wing-back Leon Redmond. The Bees are somewhat short of left sided defensive cover currently and the 20 year old scored an absolute peach last night capping off a top class overall performance.

Ajax triallist Rowendy Shoop also scored and showed some good positional play but despite his size didn't really impress as a target man on last night's showing - hopefully there is more to come from the big dutchman.

Second half substitue Josh Robinson put in a decent performance on the right of defence, marauding forwards with the ball and looking calm in possession. The former Linfield man is believe to currently contracted to Glasgow Rangers and can also play at centre half.

Other triallists on show included goalkeeper Matt Gledhill (ex Portsmouth)and rookie midfielder Albert Levett (Redbridge).

Brentford also had some of their own young starlets on display with Alfie Mawson and Joshua Clarke amongst those who impressed on the night.
