Brentford head off to Germany for their three match tour

The Bees have included three triallists in their 23 man squad.

Andy Taylor is a 26 year old left back recently released by Sheffield United. He has been training with The Bees for the past week following the release of Craig Woodman and Pim Balkestein which has left the club short of cover on the left of defence - although it is believed that Uwe is still tracking Everton's Jake Bidwell.

Leon Redwood (20) was previously with Brighton and has impressed on the left during Brentford's pre-season friendlies so far. It is believed that he might be offered an academy contract if he continues his form in Germany

The final triallist is former Preston and Plymouth striker Juvhel Tsoumou who featured against Hayes in the 4-1 win midweek.

The Brentford squad will be based at the Ramada City Centre in Liepzig, with all games within a 75 mile radius of Liepzig itself.

First up will be ZFC Meuselwitz on 21st July at their 5000 capacity Bluechip-Arena stadium. The football club also has affiliated bowling and cheerleading squads.

The second game is against Bundesliga 2 side FC Erzgebirge Aue on 24th July who play in a delightful purple home strip and have Irish journeyman Danny Sonner among their list of previous players.

RB Liepzig complete the line-up on 27th July - the 'RB' in their name standing for their main sponsor Red Bull. Their squad currently includes the excitingly named Brazilian midfielder Thiago Rockenback da Silva.
