Young bees deliver milk cup

Brentford's U15s won the milk cup yesterday in Northern Ireland.

The Bees' half-pints creamed Everton 2-0 in the final, showing a lot of bottle to emerge as champions

Bees owner Matthew Benham - who has helped restructure the youth set up - was absolutely delighted at the win after jetting in to watch the final in which the impressive Herson Rodriques Alves opened the scoring.

Brentford doubled their lead after the break when James Ferry kept his nerve to convert a penalty.

Credit must go to manager Danny Buck with Brentford playing some nice one or two touch football throughout the tournament.

Bees stars news and old were delighted with the news on twitter.

Marcus Bean - who had worked with the youngsters last season - said 'Really happy for the Brentford u15 on winning the youth cup enjoyed my time coaching them very talented squad - amazing achievement'

Young midfielder Adam Forshaw - signed from Everton earlier in the summer - tweeted 'A big well done to Brentford u15s for winning the milk cup. Loved playing in that tournament'

Hotly tipped youth team prospect Michael Onovwigun commented 'I can tell you now those boys won the milk cup out there playing football and not shelling it #1and2touch'
