'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Safe Standing @ Lionel Road

The move for Safe Standing at football grounds yesterday launched a new Silent Movie to try and highlight their campaign to a wider audience.

The movie stars Peterborough United's rabbit mascot, (who was flown out to Hannover for filming on location at PUFC's expense) and tries to encapsulate the idiocy of the current 'no standing' situation within the higher echolons of British football.

The release of the video comes on the day that Peterborough CEO Bob Symns has offered London Road as a potential trial site for rail seats, so keen is he not to lose standing at the ground.

Beesotted would like to think that, as the campaign gathers momentum, Safe Seating areas are included in plans for the new Lionel Road when we eventually depart Griffin Park and it's lovely Ealing Road and Brook Road terraces.

Enjoy the video, please share it and please ask everyone who sees it to do as requested at the end and sign the Football Supporters' Federation's safe standing petition.
