'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leyton Orient 1-0 Brentford

A repeat of Saturday's game against Colchester United failed to have a happy ending this time.

The bees dominated the game, made a hatful of chances and managed to rack up a zero goal tally. We actually had a few decent strikes well saved by their keeper, a few powder puff shots and failed to hit the target on a few occasions.

Orient offered nothing until five minutes before half time and even then that was very little. It was actually a surprise that they even entered our half. In the second half they had the odd breakaway and flashed a couple of dangerous crosses across the six yard box but nothing else until their late goal. Which apparently was offside but down the other end from the bees contingent.

We dominated possession and goal chances throughout. We are good to watch and play some good football. I was with a couple of neutrals and they were very impressed.

We also dominated the singing with 500 bees fans out of a total of 3,300. We were magnificent. Also pointed out to me was the extremely young average age of our fans there last night. There was loads of unattended teenagers and young adults. Our cheap tickets for youth policy must be working. Once you get the bug of going to away games and paying 25 for the privilege you are a bee for life. Or they may have been there to abuse Martin Rowlands. Which we did. Quite a lot!

Moore - nothing to do.
Bidwell - got forward, poor crossing, caught out a few times.
Logan - good, like him a lot.
Dean - not as good, some great stuff but not sure about the partnership - should have scored 2 as well.
Craig - not impressed, caught out, slow, silly fouls and missed two headers Legge would have buried.
Forrester - generally excellent, works hard, skillful. MOM
Douglas - works hard, sees lots of ball, drives forward.
Dave - not great yesterday, can do better.
Forshaw - exciting, high hopes, needs to learn to finish but a real prospect.
Clayton - yes scares defenders but yesterday was disappointing, too many powder puff shots, no venom, needs to get angry.
Hayes - can`t judge him on one game but yesterday he was awful and unfit and the wrong choice, would rather have played one up front.

Saunders - hmm, hasn't stopped hitting the first man with free kicks and corners!
Farid - looked dangerous, blew a good chance at the end.
Adyemi - anonymous.

Subs not used: Gounet, Kev, Barron, Legge
