Pay what you Can
Brentford have today announced an innovative ticket pricing scheme for the Stevenage home game on Saturday 22nd December
Supporters will be invited to 'Pay what you Can' for a ticket in a bid to provide a bumper crowd at Griffin Park at a traditionally expensive time of year.
The minimum ticket price is £1 and any ticket sold above will see 50% of the difference (excluding VAT) go to Sport Relief. Each applicant will be limited to a maximum of six tickets.
The promotion draws parallels with the music world where Radiohead were the first major band to pioneer a similar scheme with the release of their 2007 'In Rainbows' album - fans downloading the album were invited to 'Pay what you want'.
Brentford season ticket holders are likely to be rewarded for their loyalty later in the season when the club are believed to be hoping to offer something 'free' at a game as a thank you.
Beesotted hopes the scheme is a massive success and brings a number of new supporters to Griffin Park for the first time.
