Kiernan back for Oldham clash

Brentford have re-signed Rob Kiernan in time for this weekend's clash at Oldham.

The Bees had been light of centre back cover for Harlee Dean and Tony Craig following Leon Legge's departure on loan to Gillingham - but the versatile Kiernan has returned to ease Uwe's defensive headache.

Brentford will inevitably have one eye on Tuesday's cup return with Southend United - with the winner facing Chelsea at home on ESPN in the next round.

However promotion remains the priority for most fans who will hope to earn more valuable points on the road tomorrow.

Tom Adeyemi returns to the club he played for last season and will be hoping to be picked ahead of Toumani Diagouraga in Rosler's starting XI

Harry Forrester and Marcello Trotta will be hoping for a return to the team after being rotated for last Saturday's draw with the Shrimpers

The Bees beat Oldham 1-0 at Griffin Park earlier in the season with an Adam Forshaw goal.

Former Brentford loanee Robbie Simpson scored a brace in Oldham's last outing - a 3-2 FA Cup win at Nottingham Forest.
