Brenford 2 Stevenage 0

Brentford won 2-0 over Stevenage last night to return to winning ways.

The scoreline could have been more comfortable but Paul Hayes, returning to the starting line-up, missed two one-on-one chances in the first half.

The Bees took the lead just before half time with Adeyemi spanking a beauty home from the edge of the box.

Stevenage came back into the game a bit after the break as Brentford's nerves started to show, but sub Marcello Trotta eventually doubled the lead with a viscious finish after an Adam Forshaw run.

Trotta was then denied a second goal by a smart save from Chris Day. Simon Moore, meanwhile, did not have a noteable save to make all evening.

Brentford remain in sixth place in League One.
