Aston Villa & Birmingham Changes

Aston Villa & Birmingham Changes

The Brentford fixtures for the 2017-18 Championship season were recently announced with the first changes made.

We'll of course see a number of further changes after these ones.

The Championship matches against Second City rivals Aston Villa and Birmingham have seen changes to the proposed schedules set out.

Aston Villa, scheduled at Griffin Park on Boxing Day, has simply had a change to kick off time. Due to kick off at 3pm this has seen the start time brought forward to 2pm.

Meanwhile, Brentford's trip to Birmingham's St Andrew's has been put back a day. The Bees were due to face Blues on Tuesday 31st October but as the Midland rivals will meet on Sunday 29th October as an agreement has been reached for this to now kick off at 7:45pm on Wednesday 1st November.

Brentford took six points of these two clubs last season. A similar return, at least, this term against Aston Villa and Birmingham would be very welcomed, especially taking into account both are among the most fancied teams to challenge for Premier League promotion.
