Venue Change For FC Lausanne-Sport

Venue Change For FC Lausanne-Sport

Brentford confirmed late yesterday evening that there had been a change in venue decision for our pre season friendly against FC Lausanne-Sport out in France.

Head coach Dean Smith and the players are on a week long training camp and were due to play the game this Saturday at Stade de Mercy de Saint-Prex.

Originally we were due to play at State Olympique de la Pontaise but the opposition requested a change of venue owing to an athletics event at the stadium. However, having now inspected the new venue, Brentford do not regard the playing surface as being suitable at Saint-Prex and it would leave us adversely at risk of picking up injuries.

Therefore a decision by Dean Smith and Robert Rowan, head of Football Operations, has seen the game moved to our training camp venue - the Complexe Sportif de Divonne-les-Bains.

The match continues to kick off at 4pm local time - 3pm BST and fans in Switzerland are invited to attend as after the match there will be a meet and greet with players and staff.
