Mokotjo Talks Preston & Call Up

Mokotjo Talks Preston & Call Up

Kamohelo Mokotjo has been giving his thoughts following Brentford's victory over Preston North End this weekend.

Taking a three two victory at Deepdale over Preston with goals coming from Nico Yennaris, Romaine Sawyers and Ollie Watkins, Mokotjo picked out the 'spirit' of the side as they fought to take the lead three times across the 90 minutes.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media following the game, he explained.

'It was some game. I thought we fought our way into the game and worked for each other and that produced the result. I`m very proud of the boys and the spirit they showed. A victory away from home gives us confidence; I`m glad we were able to get the win. We thought they`d come strong and that proved to be the case today. We`ve shown plenty of character during this seven-game unbeaten run and today we just kept on working. There`s no secret to success; you have to work hard and the results will follow.'

With the game being his first start since the late September draw against Middlesbrough, he was obviously delighted to be back in the team.

'It was my first start for a while - my first 90 minutes of the season - so I feel very happy. I felt fit on the pitch and I`m glad I could be so influential today - especially for the third goal. I`m happy with my performance.'

He ended by saying that confidence was high in the camp and they are relishing the games ahead.

'We`re looking forward to the games ahead. We feel we haven`t reached our full potential yet and we fully believe in each other and what we`re doing. Every game is important for us.'

He also finds himself in South Africa's 26 man squad for their World Cup play off games against Senegal in the November international break.
