Barbet In Team Of The Week (7/11/17)

Barbet In Team Of The Week (7/11/17)

Brentford are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Yoann Barbet in the three one victory over Leeds United at the weekend at Griffin Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Barbet was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'The aforementioned Fryers wasn`t alone in terms of goalscoring defenders in the Sky Bet Championship. Brentford`s Barbet repeated Fryers` free-kick feat, and it was his cross which led to the Bees` opener in the 3-1 home triumph against Leeds United.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Barbet for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough), Zeki Fryers (Barnsley), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Ben Turner (Burton Albion), Jordan Spence (Ipswich Town), Callum O'Dowda (Bristol City), Jacob Butterfield (Sheffield Wednesday), Ruben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Gary Madine (Bolton Wanderers), Leon Clarke (Sheffield United), Tyler Walker (Nottingham Forest).

Manager - Jaap Stam (Reading).
