Vital View - Championship - 21st November 2017

The Championship season continued with the latest round of games played during midweek.

Cardiff, moving up to second, closed the gap on leaders Wolves - who didn't play until Wednesday - to a point when winning at Barnsley.

Neil Warnock's Bluebirds climbed above one of his former clubs, Sheffield United, into second, after the Blades slipped to defeat in a nine goal thriller at Bramall Lane - Fulham edging the win 5-4.

A point for Burton wasn't enough to take them out of the bottom three; meanwhile, Sunderland's loss at Aston Villa, remaining nicely placed to mount an automatic promotion assault, means the Black Cats remain rooted to the foot of the Championship.

Here's a round up of the Championship results with some games to take place.

Tuesday 21st November
Aston Villa 2-1 Sunderland 19:45
Barnsley 0-1 Cardiff City 19:45
Brentford 1-1 Burton Albion 19:45

Derby County 2-0 Queens Park Rangers 19:45
Millwall 0-0 Hull City 19:45
Nottingham Forest 1-0 Norwich City 19:45
Sheffield United 4-5 Fulham 19:45
Bolton Wanderers 2-2 Reading 20:00
