Fans To Ring Changes

Bees United will ring boardroom changes when they take control of the club in January.

Fans have slammed the seven man board for allowing the club to sail so close to administration and are adament that they will restructure the board when they take control.

Eddie Rogers will be replaced as chairman, but he will remain a board director.

Brian Burgess, chairman of the Trust, Bees United has said:

'Bees United will restructure the Brentford FC board when we complete the acquisition, which has to be done prior to January 31, 2006. Bees will appoint four non-executive directors, including a new chairman, one directly elected by Bees members and two chosen for their skills and experience.

'Up to four non-executive directors will represent investors. Only investors who have put in at least £200,000 in interest-free loans or their nominees will be eligible. The current four BU nominees on the BFC board have agreed that they will stand down if and when requested.'

Chairman Eddie Rogers has pledged £100,000 to Bees United aswell as a further £100,000 interest free loan commented:

'I have been invited to remain on the new board and I will do so. I expect Andy to remain as chief executive. As far as I am concerned he has completed his probationary period and is the right man for the job.

'Unfortunately, there has been a lack of communication between Andy, Stephen Cullen and Bees United over finances. The budget we set before the season started, which showed a slight increase in the playing budget, had to be revised last month.

'We had to take out expected rent from our former tenants London Broncos and anticipated appearance payments from Southampton for Paul Smith.'
