| Regarding i) Although I share your concern about ability of current squad to play in championship - if we are good enough to get out of this division on merit this season then of course i bloody want us to go up. Sod navel gazing and waiting for the perfect opportunity, let's just seize any chance that we get.
ii) possibly, although could just be an easier run of games and the return of messrs lee, logan and osborne to the XI

| |
| i) let's worry about that when and if we get there?
ii) I don't think that GA was ever a disruptive influence. What it does mean, though, is that we are less inclined to hoof it up to him, as Donaldson's game is very different. |

| I think if we get into the paly offs this year we ghave slightly over achieved. The team whilst showing some great signs havent been consistent enough. It's no cirtism. Like Leiecster there are clear signs the team CAN do well. All we need is consistency. |

| There is no place for cirtism on this board |

I'm guessing wouldbe's post came via his mobile phone. |

| Trust me, wouldbee's spelling is atroshus. He can droar tho. |
| |
| It could be that he is using internet explorer. Its a bloomin nightmare for missing out letters.
Or that he has fat fingers |
| |
| Fat fingers is a possibility, as he has piled on the pounds.......but really, I used to have put up with his hideous spelling for years. It was like receiving e-mails from a 3 year old. |

Gavin Mahon Posts: 218 Location: Hook and Copenhagen | Just to clarify my points i) I will be delighted were we to go up. I guess it is just age and years of joy and despair that make me a little nervous. One thing about following the Bees for over 40 years is one learns never to expect the unexpected or the expected - the Bees always have a surprise waiting when you least expect it! ii) I didn't mean to imply that GA was a disruptive element. Simply that his departure coincided with a change of formation, style etc that has resulted in a change in fortune. As has been pointed out quite nicely by Leicester. |

| I blame keyboard's. Yes my spelling is terrible...when I type. When I write my spelling is spot on! It's the head rushing immediacy of the keyboard that does me.
I don't care if we go up or not. If we don't we'll still be on target for the year assuming we finish about 8th. If we do go up it will be phenomenal and we'll spend next year all cacking ourselves becuase our squad clearly isn't Championship class.....yet. |
| |
| Fat fingers it is then. |
| |
| I believe if we were to go up we wouldn't go back down with our squad ... there are a dozen teams in the league above whom are superior but the other dozen we would be able to compete with |
| |
| I almost don't care! lol Basically, we've spent 1 season up there in the time that I've supported the Bees. We've been perenially in the bottom two tiers. If our club has a serious plan, then why not do what WBA have done over the past few years with the Premiership and Championship relegations and promotions? Can we not replicate that between L1 and the Championship? |
| |
| Like many fans I have complete Bees play off fatigue which I haven't got over since the last time we failed to gain promotion via the play offs. Having said that if we got to Wembley despite many terrible scars I would go. The LDV was a huge dissappointment but the day itself was great fun.
I would wager it is more likely that we don't turn up if we got to a playoff final than if we did go up not turning up to league games and being embaressed around various Championship grounds. |

Stan Bowles Posts: 2042 | I would say that the only 3 teams that could hold their own in the Championship(with out spending) are Charlton, Sheff U and Sheff Wednesday and we only got one point from 6 games against them so dont think we manage to stay up without buying a few Championship standard players ! But hey would be great to try! |
