Tranmere vs. Brentford

Prenton Park

5th December 2009

3pm

Next stop Tranmere

Brentford travel to bottom of the table Tranmere tomorrow, hoping for their third win on the bounce.

Vital Quotes:

Charlie Mac : 'We have to make sure we are resilient and we go into the game with confidence - we are on a decent little run'

Andy Scott : We`ve always had belief. We asked for a reaction after the Wycombe result and we`ve got it and that shows the character of all the players. They work ever so hard in training and want to work and improve.'

Tranmere Team News:

Tranmere caretaker boss Les Parry has seen his team lose just once in the last five games and will probably keep faith with the team that drew with Huddersfield midweek.

Player to watch: Ian Thomas-Moore

Formerly known as Ian Moore, the experienced striker (Tranmere's top scorer with five goals) will be hoping to shoot down Brentford with both barrels tomorrow. Hoho.

Brentford Team News:

Brentford boss Andy Scott is unlikely to shuffle his pack after a decent win midweek against Colchester.

Scott left out experienced performers such as James Wilson and Alan Bennett, but was rewarded with an excellent home victory.

Myles Weston may be added to the squad if he recovers from a hamstring strain.

Player to watch: John Bostock

The loanee winger, who's brilliant cross created Charlie Macdonald's decisive goal on Tuesday night, has yet to produce his best form away from home - but Tranmere could be a good place to start.

Match Facts & Stats

Brentford's last visit to Tranmere was on the last day of the 06/07 relegation season. The Bees lost 3-1 with our goal coming from Callum Willock. I've got a feeling this game might have been the one where Paul Brooker flicked the Vs at Bees supporters.

Next Fixtures:

Brentford are at home to Leeds United next Saturday (12th Dec) - please note this fixture is ALL TICKET.
