More of the Same for Brentford

Brentford face Wycombe tomorrow at Griffin Park with Marcus Bean the only major injury doubt as Brentford prepare to make ammends for a loss at Adams Park earlier this season.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Scott :

'We`ve got a team that is playing with confidence in every game. Whether we go to sides at the top or the bottom we are capable of causing an upset and nobody relishes playing us. If we continue playing in the way we have been, we`ll get to 52 pretty quick and then we can push higher.'

Gary Waddock :

'The team didn't perform on Saturday and I take full responsibility for that, but we have to bounce back straight away.

'We need to be nice and positive. I may make a few changes as you are only as good as your last game and I have a few options available to me now.

'The players have been training well and are focussed, so we hope for a much better showing.'

Brentford Team News:

Midfielder Bean looks set to sit this one out with Awkward Dave retaining his place in central midfield.

John Akinde is likely to partner Charlie Mac up front and faces the team he played for on loan earlier this season.

Sam Saunders should start on the right of midfield despite strong competition from loanee Lionel Ainsworth who scored for the reserves midweek.

Player to watch: Charlie Macdonald

Mac was back to his best last week, scoring two as Akinde's pace and strength created him more room. The Bees striker - who has nine goals this season - is currently in talks with the club about a new contract.

Wycombe Team News:

Waddock could make changes to the team that lost 4-1 to Yeovil last weekend and may return striker Jon-Paul Pittman to his struggling side.

Player to watch: Matt Harrold

The former Brentford striker, who played his part in Martin Allen's 'Great Escape' scored the winning penalty at Adams Park when the two teams met earlier in the season and has nine goals for the season.

This fixture last season:

In a high-tempo promotion battle, the teams drew 3-3 in a very entertaining game at Griffin Park.

Next up for Bees:

Brentford travel to Walsall on Saturday 20th Feb for more League One action.
