Brentford's Championship season continued with another win at Griffin Park against QPR on Friday.

For a fourth-match in a row, with this coming in front of the camera of Sky Sports on this occasion, Brentford won again with a Djuricin goal in the second half enough to see off QPR, beating them for the first time in 50-years, to continue Carsley's brilliant start as Bees boss.

If Carsley doesn't win the Manager of the Month for October, which might actually be a 'curse' as it usually is, I'll be amazed!

The best of the first half chances went the way of QPR with Luongo heading a Phillips cross against the crossbar just before half time as the R's threatened a breakthrough.

Moments later the woodwork again saved Brentford!

With the unfortunate player again Luongo with his curling effort kept out only by Button's post with Brentford's best chance falling to the lively Chelsea loanee, who will now stay with the Bees until the turn of the year, Swift with his own curling effort fielded by England international Green.

The second half, which was a half Brentford controlled relatively well, saw the Bees starting well with Djuricin forcing QPR 'keeper Green into a save with Swift unable to keep the rebound down as this went over the bar, also wide.

Button was then called into action as Phillips was able to get in behind the defence but his header was dealt with by the Brentford 'keeper and then the Bees struck!

Djuricin (56), with his fourth goal of the season, made the breakthrough against Brentford's West London rivals when he got across his marker Hill to smash home a dangerous Judge cross from six-yards.

In an attempt to rescue the game, having been out for a month, QPR turned to Austin but it didn't make any difference with Brentford comfortably seeing out a win to continue the fine work Carsley's achieved since his appointment earlier in the month.

This win not only made it four wins on the trot, with Brentford without a defeat since a setback against Derby at the start of the month, it also meant the Bees moved into the top half of the table up to 10th and above QPR - admittedly the rest of the Championship was to play at that point - and only four-points off the top six!
