Brentford was Andy Scott's first managerial job.BR>
He took over the GP reigns in December 2007 following the disastrous Terry Butcher era. Scott, who had been Butcher's assistant manager, went on to lead his team to the League Two championship in the 2008/2009 season after making wholesale player changes in the summer of 2008 - bringing in the likes of Charlie Macdonald, Marcus Bean and Sam Wood.

The following season Brentford finished ninth in League One (Wojciech Szczesny playing a heavy part in this excellent finish) but Andy Scott (and deputy Terry Bullivant) were sacked in February 2011 after a poor run of results and a plethora of uninspiring football.

Scott had formerly played for Brentford as a winger and striker before being sold to Leyton Orient by Ron Noades after a decent goalscoring run. He later had to retire early from the game due to underlying heart problems.
