Tony was a cult figure at Brentford for the first part of the near disastrous 2003-2004 season under Wally Downes.

The highly religious Trinidad and Tobago international (capped 68 times) joined Brentford from Reading and immediately lit up the Griffin Park darkness with some fantastic skills on the right of midfield.

Rougier's time at Brentford was short-lived, however and he left the club when Martin Allen replaced Downes as manager, allegedly due to a previously poor relationship between the two at Reading.

Rougier moved to Bristol City and was a prominent part in their subsequent promotion, before he returned to Trinidad to see out his career with United Petrotrin
