International

Barbados

Pen Pic

Gus 'nosebleed` Hurdle was listed in an article in FourFourTwo magazine in 1997 as the 97th most influential foreign player in the English Leagues. This could perhaps be described as the high water mark of Gus Hurdle`s career.
A right back who looked more like a protein deficient social worker with his stick legs, gangly run and bobbed dreads Hurdle rarely ever ventured across the halfway line except to be substituted.
Gus was actually capped by Barbados 4 times which just beggars belief. Gus signed from Dorchester (Hotel?) in 1994 and played for three seasons before being shipped off to Plymouth in 1998.
