Denny Mundee

Position

Supersub

Pen Pic

Denny Mundee was the ultimate in supersubs. He signed from Bourenmouth in 1993 ostensibly as back up to Nicky Forster and Bob Taylor.
He`s described as a midfielder but to thousands of Bees fans he was a cameo busting side stepping injury time goal machine.
He was eventually let go to Brighton in 1995. On his debut the Brighton home programme ran an article on Denny including a step by step diagram to the infamous 'Mundee shuffle`. Brighton fans close to this source recall the day he signed and remember that he was ' rubbish`. He was released from Brighton in 1997.

Denny will live long in most fans memories for the super sub hat-trick he scored at home against Bristol Rovers. He came on up front with half an hour to go with the score at 3-0 and shuffled and shimmied his way sublime to draw the game before the Brizzle nicked a late winner in the Saturday snow. Denny was last seen as a guest at the 100 year centenary match and featured in the roll call of Bees legends who took to the pitch to much applause.
