London born colossus Striker Carl 'Asaba` Asaba joined the Bees from Dulwich Hamlet in 1994.
In his debut season he made little impact but it was in his first full season that he burst into the first team and improved enormously from the stumbling debutant of the year before.
Asaba quickly developed in strength, on the ball possession and pace to become a fantastic foil to a Brentford attacking line boasting an embarrassment of riches under David Webb.
He famously scored a half hour hat-trick away at Shrewsbury before his goal scoring exploits saw him earn a big money move to Caravan panhandlers Reading for £800,000 in 1997.
He went on to play for Stoke and Sheffield United where he became a fans favourite and eventually settled in the area. He retired from football in 2007 aged 34 and 6`2".
