Pen Pic

Bill Axbey was Brentford's oldest living supporter when he passed away, aged 102, in April 2007.

The lifelong fan, who appeared as a mascot aged 95, and also on BBC Football Focus - who pointed out that he was older than Griffin Park itself.

Bill formed a big part of the club's centenary celebrations, and came to prominence when Martin Allen was at the club's helm - with the manager using the elderly yet passionate man as an example to his squad.

The New Road stand was re-named "The Bill Axbey Stand" shortly after Bill's death.
