Harry Curtis

Position

Manager

Pen Pic

Harry became manager of a then unknown Brentford in 1926 - and before retiring 23 years later had taken the Bees to both the Fifth and Sixth Rounds of the FA Cup (which raised the money for the Braemar Road stand), won the championship of the old Third Division (South) in 1933, almost went through to the First Division the next season - and eventually won promotion to the top flight the year after that.
In consecutive seasons in the top division (the equivalent to today`s Premiershi-e) he saw the club end up in 5th, 6th and 6th positions - invariably beating top-dogs Arsenal during that time.
He was Brentford`s most successful manager to date
