Gounet joined the club mid season in 2011/2012 after apparently just turning up at the training ground and asking for a trial.
He was immediately snapped up by Uwe Rosler but only featured in academy games - falling behind Richard Lee and Simon Moore in terms of the first team.
In the summer of 2012, he signed a one year extension to his contract at Griffin Park.
